ADR-0008: First Aid is the missing screen, sourced from SDS Section 4

Status: Accepted Date: 2026-09-02

Decisions

D-10 First Aid is a built screen, parsed from GHS Section 4, structured by exposure route

Eye, skin, inhalation and ingestion, following Section 4's own structure. Extractive per D-02, escalation-first per D-08.

Context

R-07: the source numbers its screens 1-8 but renders only seven — panel 7 is absent. R-09 shows a First Aid tile on Home that no rendered screen satisfies, and R-05 lists first aid in scope twice. Section 4 of every SDS is literally "First-aid measures", so the content arrives in the same parse already required by D-04 at near-zero marginal cost.

This reconstructs intent rather than reading it — the source has a hole here, and the owner confirmed the reconstruction rather than it being inferred unilaterally.

Rejected options

  • A fourth tab on the chemical summary screen — rejected: fewer screens, but it buries emergency content one level deeper than the spill procedure it sits beside in urgency.
  • Out of scope, with the Home tile removed — rejected because it discards data the parse already yields to drop a capability the source names three times.

This ruling may not be re-decided

If a change contradicts this ADR: stop and raise it. Do not implement over it.
